SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION

Sustainable construction aims to minimize the environmental impact of real estate development while ensuring economic viability, comfort, and durability. This approach emphasizes efficient resource use and better planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance to protect human health and the environment.

NXTBLOC embody this sustainable vision. Made from resource-efficient materials like fly ash, these lightweight blocks reduce energy consumption in transportation and construction. Their superior thermal and sound insulation properties, combined with durability against fire, pests, and moisture, promote both environmental and economic sustainability.

GREEN BUILDING

In the burgeoning global consciousness towards sustainability, the concept of ‘Green Building’ has emerged as a cornerstone in the architectural and construction sectors. Builders, architects, and engineers strive to design structures that reduce the adverse impact on human health and the environment by efficiently using resources and minimizing waste and pollution.

Key Criteria for LEED Certification:

– Protect water and air quality
– Optimize design, installation, and calibration of building systems
– Establish energy efficiency standards
– Reduce chlorofluorocarbons in HVAC and refrigeration equipment
– Facilitate recycling to reduce landfill waste
– Set indoor air quality standards for occupant comfort
– Minimize exposure to tobacco smoke

GLOBAL WARMING

In today’s world, the effects of global warming are clear, with the construction industry being a major contributor. Defined as the rise in Earth’s surface temperature due to increased greenhouse gases, global warming is driven by air conditioner usage, industrial pollution, and deforestation. Unplanned architectural design and traditional construction materials lead to high energy consumption and topsoil erosion, devastating agricultural land.

However, with small steps taken by all, the impact on the planet can be reduced considerably. Below is a quick checklist to help reduce the impact of global warming:

– Reduce consumption of Air Conditioners.
– Aim for Eco-friendly housing.
– Plan & grow more trees around your house.
– Plan the construction in such a way to reduce the equipment needs.
– Try to reduce the usage of fossil fuels.
– Use a staircase instead of an elevator wherever possible.
– Opt for lightweight organic materials to save on manufacturing energy and reduce electricity costs.

CARBON FOOTPRINT

The escalating carbon footprint on our environment is a pressing concern. NXTBLOC AAC blocks exhibit significantly lower carbon emissions compared to traditional walling materials. Per square foot, AAC blocks emit 2.13 kg of CO2, whereas clay bricks emit 17.6 kg and concrete walls emit 14 kg of CO2. Furthermore, the lightweight nature of NXTBLOC AAC blocks reduces transportation emissions, with one truckload of AAC blocks equating to the volume of three trucks of traditional materials.
